Katherine Ryan Facelift 2025: What the Comedian Revealed About Her Surgery

British-Canadian comedian and presenter Katherine Ryan has openly confirmed that she underwent a facelift in 2025, sharing detailed information about the procedure during an episode of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything. Katherine Ryan explained when the face lift surgery took place, why she decided to do it, and exactly what procedures were involved.

Her comments offered rare transparency about modern facial cosmetic surgery and the motivations behind choosing it earlier than many people might expect.

When Katherine Ryan Had Her Facelift

Katherine Ryan revealed that her surgery had taken place approximately two months after giving birth to her fourth child back in late 2025. Ryan said she began considering surgical options months earlier while she was pregnant and knew she would not be having any more children.

After Holland’s birth and once she had recovered enough to proceed, she arranged consultations and underwent the surgery shortly afterward.

Where the Surgery Was Performed

Her facelift was performed at the Coppergate Clinic in York, by consultant plastic surgeon Dr Nick Rhodes.

She described Rhodes as an experienced and highly respected surgeon who has trained other plastic surgeons, including practitioners in London. Ryan said she chose him after seeing the results he achieved for people she knew personally.

She also explained that personal referrals and seeing real-life results rather than only photos played a significant role in her decision. Ryan said she had friends who had been treated by Rhodes and that their results convinced her that his approach aligned with her own aesthetic goals.

What Procedures Katherine Ryan Had Done

During her podcast, Katherine Ryan confirmed she underwent several cosmetic procedures at the same time, rather than only a single treatment.

Full Facelift

The primary procedure was a full facelift, which Ryan described as the modern surgical technique used by many plastic surgeons today.

She explained that the procedure involves lifting deeper facial structures and muscles, not just tightening the skin. According to Ryan, earlier facelift techniques in previous decades often focused only on the skin, which could produce an unnatural or “wind tunnel” appearance.

Modern facelifts, she said, aim to reposition deeper tissues and restore the face to a more youthful structure rather than simply pulling the skin tighter.

Fat Transfer

Ryan also had fat transfer to the face, a procedure that involves removing fat from one part of the body and injecting it into areas of the face that have lost volume.

She said the fat was used to restore fullness in areas including:

* the cheekbones

* the upper face

* around the eyelids

Ryan explained that aging does not only involve sagging skin but also loss of bone density and facial fat, which is why adding volume can be an important part of achieving natural-looking results.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

In addition to the facelift and fat transfer, Ryan confirmed she had a small blepharoplasty, commonly known as a “bleph”.

The procedure involved removing a small amount of excess eyelid skin. She said surgeons often combine this with fat transfer to prevent the eye area from looking hollow after surgery.

Why Katherine Ryan Decided to Have a Facelift

Ryan said the decision was influenced largely by the physical changes she experienced during several pregnancies in a short period of time.

She explained that she had been pregnant six times within five years, and that the repeated hormonal and physical changes affected her face in particular.

While she said she was less concerned about her body changing, she felt her face was especially important because it is central to her career as a performer and television personality.

Ryan said she wanted to:

* recognise herself again when looking in the mirror

* restore the facial appearance she had before recent pregnancies

* regain a sense of personal identity after a demanding period of motherhood

She emphasised that her goal was not to dramatically change her appearance or look decades younger.

Instead, she said she simply wanted to look similar to how she did around 2019.

Addressing the Question of Age

Some listeners questioned whether Katherine Ryan should have waited until her 50s or 60s to undergo a facelift. She addressed this directly on the podcast.

Katherine pointed out that if someone wants to lift sagging facial tissues, the surgical solution designed to do that is a facelift. In her view, waiting longer would not necessarily change that fact.

She also noted that her own mother had previously undergone a facelift in her 60s and had publicly discussed it. Ryan said her mother looked “absolutely amazing” after the procedure, but that she personally preferred to address facial changes earlier.

Choosing the Right Surgeon

Ryan highlighted the importance of finding a surgeon whose aesthetic perspective matches the patient’s expectations.

She referenced advice from plastic surgeon Dr Steven Levine, who has performed procedures for celebrity clients including Kris Jenner. According to Ryan, the key to good results is ensuring that both the surgeon and patient share the same understanding of what looks natural and attractive.

Ryan said she felt confident about her choice after:

* seeing the results on friends

* speaking extensively with the clinic

* feeling comfortable with the surgeon’s aesthetic approach

She also spoke positively about the surgeon’s wife, who works closely with the clinic and whom Ryan described as welcoming and transparent during the consultation process.

Katherine Ryan’s Openness About Cosmetic Surgery

Ryan made it clear that she never intended to keep the procedure secret. She said she had hinted publicly that she had undergone surgery before confirming the details on her podcast.

Her decision to discuss the facelift openly reflects her broader approach to cosmetic treatments. Ryan has previously spoken candidly about beauty procedures and said she believes people should be able to talk about them honestly without stigma.

She described the facelift as part of  reclaiming her autonomy and identity  after years focused on pregnancy and raising young children.
